Running around the city and stopping at a random cafe to have a rest. As I drank my tea, I could hear the music from the cafe’s radio in the background, a song sung by a beautiful male voice:
“Even when the dark comes crashing through / When you need a friend to carry you / And when you’re broken on the ground / You will be found…”
Suddenly, memories flashed across my mind, of watching “Dear Evan Hansen” with friends earlier this year. I remembered being inspired by the award-winning musical and checking out the book from the local library, and then writing a review of the book without comparing it to the musical. It was not an easy task.
Once again, it was that sense of serendipity, of being in one small corner of the world and suddenly bumping into something that reminds you of something else that you once experienced on the other side of the world. I cherish this sort of chance encounter.
