Very happy to have found and joined the virtual Monash Alumni Book Club. Currently waiting for a digital edition of Australian author Victoria Purman’s The Radio Hour (2024) from the local library, which is the club’s March-May read.
Have to learn to navigate a new “professional book club” system. Some of the interesting features include author talks and recordings online, which I’ll definitely explore. Other features are a bit tricky, such as where/how to log out of the system…
Great to know that I have read some of the books previously selected by the club, including but not limited to Pip Williams’ The Dictionary of Lost Words (2020) and Kazuo Ishigoru’s Klara and the Sun (2021). I also have Lisa See’s Lady Tan’s Circle of Women (2023) but am yet to read it.
