House

Once a home
now in shadows,
frayed and pale,
threadbare silence.

Along the walls
footprints creep,
forlorn, forgotten,
blossoming black.

A moan, a sigh,
curtains trembling,
crystals sparking
in starless nights.

Dreading to rest,
a tap drips, tale
of a vein dying
to pulse again.
