Continued reading The Good Wife of Bath and Into the Mountains. Also explored audiobooks by Richard Matheson.
Meanwhile, went to the library to pick up one book – just one – but ended up discovering a book sale and purchasing four titles at $1 each, and missing my bus! Oh well. Now I have five to read.
While waiting for the next bus, the book See Through Me (2019, see image above) by somewhat controversial English author Kevin Brooks grabbed my attention. It reminds me of an incomplete comic book that I bumped into while visiting a market stall selling secondhand books a long, long time ago. In that book, an invisible girl is forced by some bad guys to become a thief, successfully stealing all sorts of valuables because no one can see her. At some stage, when she tries to escape, they dip her in paint that cannot be washed off, in order to keep an eye on her… I wonder what that comic book is and how/where I can find it again.
