EDITOR
Reading you hurts, feeling
you overwhelming, overpowering,
overtaking my life. Frustrated
like me, you did/do/will not
concede, this potholed journey
incoherent, inscrutable, impossible
to forgive/forget. (Yet) Forgo this
bruised, broken path, I won’t.
Struggling to sail it smooth,
sensible, but succeed I must.
Unable to change you, my choice:
give you up or write you with(in)
my voice. A sin and a crime,
I commit/confess. My defence:
a story beautiful as you are
should be told from my soul.
