Or wait for her to say hello
With that voice that tingles
Like a bell in the night?
Should I expect her smile
One that clears the winter rain
And brings the sunshine, and a rainbow
That strings together the colours of my life?
She walks pass me, and I know
I’ll miss the chance to meet her eyes
Again, like two stars across the sky
Yearning for an embrace
So I stand where I am, wondering
Will I see her again? Perhaps next time
I’ll speak, trembling like a bird at the first snow
Who has just arrived home.
