Spreading Thin (“Warm Winter Read” Day 75)

Writing an article on the upcoming Children’s Book Week (see @cbcaustralia), with the submission deadline approaching fast. Also attended an online meeting with the organisers of an inaugural literary festival. Plus some books will need to be picked up from the library soon, for me to write an essay on a translated book of short stories. Suddenly life is getting busy, but it is also exciting.

I love reading and writing, basically anything and everything to do with literature and literacy. While I am trying not to spread myself too thin, some opportunities are simply too good to miss.

Found this image from 2018 (https://www.thirtythousanddays.org/2018/02/are-your-spread-too-thin-energy-purpose-video/). The blog post talks about the management of time versus energy, but the important thing is to: “Look at your life and purpose from a standpoint of energy. Is your energy too scattered, too focused, or just wasted.” To live on purpose, one needs to find out what their purpose is in the first place. I think it is a great question to ask ourselves.
