A friend shared her recent travels around the world, hopping from country to country and enjoying all the benefits of modern technological advances that one can imagine. One thing that is particularly fascinating is the services on airplanes. In terms of entertainment, one can choose from music to tv and radio shows and then to games for kids and adults.
I wonder if anyone would offer in-flight libraries, free digital books in multiple languages by authors from around the world, in various genres and lengths, with part of the generated revenues going to publishers or directly to authors.
Such a service would suit readers already familiar with digital books and those who don’t mind trying. While people may already have their preferred reading devices, it is always good to discover new titles via a user-friendly channel. Even better, airlines can feature books and authors from their own countries, helping to promote recreational reading in general.
Good idea? Let me know.
