
One of the Warm Winter Read challenges is to read a book on @libby.app. Here is what happens when I read Peter Brown’s The Wild Robot in “night mode”.
Because the book’s illustrations are done in black and white, these are inverted/reversed in night mode. It is amazing that the original image (above) depicts snow melting and forming rivers and streams, while the “night mode” image (below) looks like some sort of new growth across the land and on top of rocks, perhaps grass and moss.

Which makes reading this book’s digital edition highly entertaining, as there are so many beautiful illustrations to be observed in different reading modes.
