#NaPoWriMo: Tidying

ButtonBlack

Sieving through my past,

selecting moments to retain,

I am unsure what to do

with the only memory of you.

To revive your smile

and paste it in scrapbook?

Or to renounce your words,

at last condemn them to trash?

In the end I surrender,

for resistance is futile:

I cannot remove your soul,

part of me, seven times forever.

Best to let it rest… maybe

until the next garage sale.

Perhaps I can forget you then…

Perhaps not.
